This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Never to get lost is not to live, not to know how to get lost brings you to destruction, and somewhere in the terra incognita in between lies a life of discovery."

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

Been counting visitors since some time in August 2008
,Western Australia
,Jigalong
,Cannon arrghh
I see the darkside is strong in you, hopefully you will see the light one day:)
Nice shot btw
Jigalong, you have been seduced by the dark side, it's so bad you can't see it :)
taniwha absolutely - and trying to get everything sorted before the WTM in 2 weeks is challenging to say the least :)
hey Dhamaka moblog is doing this advent calendar thingy, yea I kno its corny but moblog does it in "the best possible taste" cant see you on the list? you are posting yea, did you get your invite?
Wow! Great portraits of Jig along and I'd take a lens like that any day. :D
Canon or Nikon, it does not matter.
As long as you shoot Canon, :p
Especially the new stuff (1D-X !!) coming in ;)
Anyway, the camera is just a tool.
The photographer has the idea, the skills and the eye (a lot of people have none of these by the way: they just "own" an expensive camera/lens...)
Creativity has value, the rest is not important :)
:)
If I was beiing rational Chenav I would say you're absolutely correct
but
Nikon still seems to do better at low-light, fast-motion (although I don't know how it will compare to the 1D-X)
and anyway
It's a good wind-up!
:)
Yep, Nikon has better low light with the D3 serie... good if you shoot live concerts ! (my present gear can not lock the focus 1 time out of 3, during a concert gig... )
Canon has better lenses (the 70-200 IS mk II is a killer glass, which makes you believe you are a photographer sometimes !).
Photography is always a matter of compromise !
I saved money for the 1D-X already :)
Seems impressive, and it will be the perfect fit for my L lenses :)
And it will get Waxou jealous (which is probably the best reason to invest in pro gear ;) )
Your shots are always fantastic, I look forward to seeing what you come up with... and I agree with that last reason :)
