On Wye! Visited a few days ago to indulge probably unhealthy fascination with reference books. Had lunch in the Globe - the best damn cafe I think I have ever visited. Video paintings projected on to the walls, art gallery upstairs, free table football downstairs, art workshops on weekends. Good grub.

It was lots of fun Nige. meant to meet up with Hobo but time ran out on me. And left contact details behind.

Hay on Wye is in Wales Dan. It's a town specialising in book shops. Lovely place to browse.

Great place. Looks a lot quieter than during festival time!

I like it a lot too. I've only gone once during festival time and you gone feel the buzz even before you hit the town. I never seem to have enough time to just have a browse and wallow.

Thanks Grasshopper. I think PJ would like it there. I'd give it a full day for a proper aimless browse and a decent lunch. I need to go during the lit festival one day. Maybe I should make it one of 2009 resolutions.
